Terms and conditions

1. Definitions in these Terms and Conditions:

‘The Dialogue’, ‘we’ or ‘us’ means the Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue.

2. General

2.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to any purchase of services from the Dialogue.

2.2 These Terms and Conditions may be amended periodically and you will be deemed to have accepted any amendments if you use the website after those amendments have been posted.

3. Contract and price

3.1 All prices are in Australian Dollars and inclusive of GST, unless otherwise indicated.

3.2 Description of services and prices may be subject to change or correction at any time without notice. Although we seek to ensure information is correct, we make no representation or warranty as to information being accurate or complete. If we discover an error, we will try to notify you as soon as possible and allow you to cancel your order and obtain a refund if desired

3.3 By submitting an event registration you warrant that:

  • you are capable of entering into a legally binding contract with the Dialogue,
  • you are authorised and able to make payment via the method you have chosen, and
  • the information you have provided is correct.

3.4  A contract for purchase is only formed once we have accepted an order by issuing a receipt number.

3. 5 The Dialogue has the right to cancel the event at any point in time and the full delegate fee will be refunded, or an equivalent registration to another Dialogue event will be provided.

4. Payment method

Payment can be made with valid credit cards (Amex, Visa, Mastercard) or electronic funds transfer (EFT). In the case of an EFT payment for an online order you must also provide us with a copy of the remittance advice. Payment is due within 7 days of order or prior to the event, whichever occurs first. Please note your registration will not be confirmed until full payment is received.

5. Refund/exchange policy

5.1 If you notify us in writing more than 30 days prior to an event that you are unable to attend, you may choose to have a refund issued (minus a 10% cancellation fee) or nominate a replacement delegate to attend in your stead. No refund may be issued after this time.

5.2 If you notify us in writing more than 7 days prior to an event that you are unable to attend, you may nominate a replacement delegate to attend in your stead.

5.3 No refunds or exchanges are permitted within 7 days of an event.

5.4 To claim a refund, exchange or for further information please send an email to events@westernsydney.org.au.

6. Warranties and liabilities

6.1 The Dialogue excludes any condition or warranty, unless it is expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions or is by law incapable of exclusion, restriction or modification.

6.2 The Dialogue will under no circumstances be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising in relation to any transaction entered into, or any goods or services purchased, through this website.

7. Photography & Filming

By participating at a Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue event, you acknowledge that your photo might be taken or you might be part of a recorded session and you consent to the taking and use (including in any publication or production) of any such photo or video by us in whole or in part, and in conjunction with any words or drawings, in electronic or print form.

8. Privacy

The Dialogue respects your privacy and the confidentiality and security of personal information provided by you to us. 

9. Cancellation of an event due to Covid-19

9.1 If The Dialogue is required, by the NSW government, to cancel or postpone the event, best efforts will be made to let delegates know in a timely fashion.

9.2 If the event is cancelled, full ticket cost will be refunded. However, no refund will be provided if the event is postponed or an alternative method of attending the event is made available i.e. live stream.
