Buon Appetit’s story is as heartwarming as their Italian feasts. Their story begins with their Nonna Tina, who migrated to Australia with her family in 1971 from Naples, Italy. Familiar food and ingredients such as pasta, sauce, salami, Italian biscuits and cakes were not easily accessible, which saw the family spending hours in the kitchen preparing food that made them feel at home.
As they grew up watching their mother cook every chance she had, they spontaneously decided to quit their jobs in 2019 and start a new venture. After three years, the family opened up their restaurant in Camden, where you can find classic Italian pasta and pizza dishes. It’s a family story, steeped in tradition, and full of flavour.
