The Dialogue is about demonstrating leadership and action on key issues, and through our ongoing program of events, initiatives and partnerships, we’re positioned at the forefront of change in the region.
The Lachlan Macquarie Lecture— where a prominent citizen will deliver an annual speech about the region, honouring the colonial Governor who opened up Western Sydney and its River Cities. The inaugural address was delivered by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in 2016, followed by NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian in 2017. Last year’s lecture was delivered by Professor Peter Shergold AC, Chancellor, Western Sydney University, while this year we had Eddie Woo Leader, Mathematics Growth, School Operations and Performance, NSW Department of Education give this prestigious lecture.
The Pemulwuy Prize — named after the famous Indigenous warrior and leader, honours a citizen who has distinguished them self via fearless advocacy for the region. The 2019 winner was Kevin Young, Managing Director of Sydney Water.
Western Sydney Out There Summit — where policy makers and members of our leadership network come together to develop a vision for Western Sydney and action plan for the region.
BOOMTOWN! Summit — designed to promote a better understanding within government, industry and media about policy mechanisms to stimulate infrastructure investment and urban renewal.
VIP Leadership Dinners — We will continue to host executive level boardroom dinners with key Western Sydney influencers to discuss relevant public policy matters.
