Small Business secures a budget bonus

Small business was one of the few winners to emerge from this year’s 2015 Federal Budget, with a range of tax cuts expected to help boost employment in Western Sydney.
The new small business package promised by Treasurer Joe Hockey delivered the small business sector, one of the key drivers of the regional economy, with serious tax breaks and incentives, drawing praise from Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Council (WSROC) President, Cr Tony Hadchiti.
“Western Sydney is an economic powerhouse fuelled by the small business sector, any measure that supports this sector will have positive flow on effects for the local community,” said Clr Hadchiti.
One of the most talked-about measures, includes an immediate tax deduction for all assets purchased by a small-business under $20,000.
“This budget empowers small business to invest, grow and create jobs," Mr Hockey told Parliament.
