Commonwealth Bank to Move 10,000 Jobs to Inner City

MORE than 10,000 jobs will be lost to Western Sydney ­because the Commonwealth Bank is moving its administration offices to the inner city.

CBA’s move to lease space at the Australian Technology Park near Redfern was last night slammed by Western Sydney leaders who have been left “shattered” and “disappointed”.

Christopher Brown, chair of the Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue, described the CBA’s decision as an “up yours” to Western Sydney.

“It’s a brave call to trash the brand among the largest home lending market in the nation,’’ Mr Brown said
